Following the publication and popularity of Mike Meyer’s first Morgue File, we have collaborated on a second book which was officially launched in August at Letterheads 2018: London Calling.

Book 2 brings together clippings and other ephemera gathered by Mike Meyer during his extensive travels in Europe. The 90-page book contains sign and lettering inspiration from Italy, Germany, Scandanavia, France and the UK, much of it from the 1920s and 1930s.

As with the first book, it was a collaborative effort between Mike Meyer, Better Letters, designer Alice Mazzilli, printers 12–B and paper merchants G.F Smith. We also added Lydia Blagden to the team to scan and edit the vast body of material that Mike selected for inclusion. The book is printed by Risograph on Munken (main pages) and Colorplan (cover and section dividers).

The book can be bought from A.S. Handover in Europe (£20+shipping), Sign Painting Supply Co. in USA/Canada ($30+shipping), and also direct from Better Letters (£20+shipping). Book 1 can also be purchased from the same locations. See: A.S. Handover; Sign Painting Supply Co.; Better Letters.
